clegger Apr 8, 2014 1:01 AM (in response to Geoff the kiwi)I'm getting this error when trying to log in in Lightroom for enabling sync with mobile LR. Not in Creative Cloud app, not in Photoshop or somewhere else.
I've tried: restart app, restart my Mac, re-login to CC app, re-install Lightroom.
Nothing helped.

vybrantimages Apr 8, 2014 3:50 AM (in response to Tokyodrifter)Having exactly the same issue, as i've just updated to LR 5.4 via the adobe cc app. I've found recently the adobe cc app very buggy each time i updated the software. Seems onces updated, the adobe cc app doesn't want to relaunch. Finally after a little fiddling about, the adobe cc app worked, and i could finally update to LR 5.4. When i tried to login, it came up with exactly the same issue you have.

- Rebooting Mac
- Removing Preferences
- Disabling all Plugins.
Interestingly enough, When I sign in with a bogus text. example : "dad3@3fkk" as the username and "3232kasddk" as a password it still shows same error. This really seems like a bug to me.
nil value may indicate its not recognising any input text in the fields. This shouldnt be related to any adobe id.
Over to you adobe.

I feel it's a software issue not necessarily a connection/security protection issue. My Adobe CC app connects fine, with all services working. Adobe Photoshop works fine too.
Where's adobe on this matter?

Needless to say, I had already done that (and unistalled and reinstalled LR5.4), but humored them...
No change - still the same error after re-removing preferences.
EDIT/UPDATE - Latest response on Twitter...
"@AdobeCare: We will need to find out what a solution for this as it appears that it could be a bug in the workflow."
Looks like we're stuck for now...

Told me to go to Twitter because this forum was down temporarily. I just can't believe they did not Beta test on a MAC. This is not some deeply imbeded flaw, but one you see at the very outset of trying to use it. And with Creative Cloud, why not post an alert to all users, rather than have us spend hours looking for help? There is an alternative in Photosmith, which is alot more full featured, and syncs via WiFi rather than cloud. And it works.
