I had the same problem;

- Update 13x36, XP64, Firefox 28.0

- Run installer, get Host message "unable to load application configuation".

Hi Mike.

Thanks for your reply, although I dare not uninstall my 'working' flash for what seems to be an Adobe fault.

The dload page shows the .exe to be 17MB , but only 1.01MB after dloaded.(file incomplete).

Dloaded the file 3 or 4 times...same size.

Thanks much Mike, that came as the full 17MB file.

Odd why the Flash update page 17MB dload only totaled 1.01MB?

The update page links to a "stub installer". The 1mb file downloads the rest as part of the process.

Yes, thay`s what I originally expected it to be. I closed my internet connection and ran the .exe expecting a message saying it couldn`t connect for the installation, but nothing like that came up so I assumed it was to be the full 17MB install file...as stated on the dload page button.

There must be something at odds with my system and THIS update stub install file.
