Adobe won't recognize my password

I'm trying to download the Adobe Flashplayer on my MacBook Pro, Version OS X 10.9.2 and when I put in

my password it just wiggles and won't let me finish installing.  What's up with that?

It's NOT Adobe asking for the password, and it ISN'T your Adobe password.

OS X requires your Adminsitrator password to install ANY software... including Flash Player.
