I keep being told that I 'need to upgrade your Flash Player'

Hello. I keep being told that I 'need to upgrade your Flash Player' e.g. when trying to view an e-card or upload multiple photos to Facebook. Following the upgrade instructions does not solve the problem. So I found more help on the Internet and made sure I deleted all existing flash player things on my computer and did a 'clean' install. Shut down and restarting all along. Still not fixed. Please help! I'm running Windows 7. Thank you.
