What browser do you use?

If IE, give the version number (8, 9, 10, or 11)

Chrome has its own Flash Player plug-in embedded by Google, so what you installed has nothing to do with Chrome.

If you've followed the steps here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-chrome.html  and it still isn't working... AND you've installed the Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

, then type "chrome://plugins" in the Chrome address bar.

chrome.jpg

Click "Details" at the top right and scroll to Adobe Flash Player in the list.

Disable the PepperFlash plug-in and restart Chrome. This will force it to "fall back" on the plugin for other browsers.

Firefox (from Mozilla)

Opera (from Opera)

Safari (from Apple)

Download and install one of those.

Use the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers)

Try the BBC site with the other browser

If it works, it's  Chrome problem.

If not, it may be something else.

Hi Mike sorry about the delay but thank you for sorting out my problem.

Your last advice about trying a different browser showed me that I should try to raise the BBC site on google chrome this I did and the flash player worked.  previously I was using a icon direct to the BBC site not through google.  I did not realise that software was so sensitive

Again thanks for you help and how can I give further points for your time?

Regards

David Evans
