    Creative Cloud app not launching!

      this has been happening for some time now.  On multiple systems in house, but not all and not all the time...sometimes it runs fine. CC desktop app does not run (not even greyed out on the taskbar on my Macs).

       

       

      Sometimes, it will take a few minutes and then the app launches...sometimes it's already up when I log in to the system.  And other times, I log in to another user on the Mac and it's running there...go back to the first user, and it still isn't running, and sometimes it starts right up.

       

       

      It is very frustrating and very intermittent....has anyone else had this issue?

       

       

      Our Macs are still running OSX 10.7.5 Lion due to the other editing software we are running.  I would love to have someone qualify this issue, and wonder if an upgrade to OSX 10.8.x Mountain Lion would have any impact on this.

          Hello Broadway Video,

           

          The first question  : What type of account the users have? Do they have user or admin account?

          If they have a simple user account, the restrictions and permissions issue will occur as the users don't have the same rights as the administrators.

           

          The second question : Are the accounts on local or server?

           

          The third question : Did you install the apps by deployement or have you installed on each separatly Mac the Creative Cloud?

            Hi,

             

            I just transferd my applications to another mac because of a technical problem, signed out my Creative cloud on the old mac and powerd on the new one.

             

            I was imediatly asked to install the Adobe Creative cloud but the installer shows: Adobe Creative cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged. Please download......

             

            Also the Adobe applications don't work any more because it says that I'm still signed in on two other computers.

            (I have now one signed in on witch we have a work in progress but I deactiveted, signed out, the other one two hours ago and now I'am stuck. And as usual lokking at a deadline that comes closer and closer.

                Hi Arnaud...in this particular case, the user is not an admin, BUT...previously, that user WAS an admin and the exact same thing had been happening.  Like I said, it is intermittent.  I had come to the same (permissions) conclusion as you mentioned, so in some cases I have changed the permissions of the CC App and the App Manager folders to allow users read/write access and that had fixed the issue, but I did the same thing with this one user and it did NOT fix that.

                 

                Each system had individual installs from an Administrator account.
