    Adobe CC on Linux.

Now that CC is subscription based, any chance we'll see a Linux version of the suite?

I'm working on a HiDPI machine and i have to say it's pretty atrocious how tiny everything in the CC suite is - it's effectively unusable on this computer.  I hear it's a problem with Windows' API and I'd be willing to bet Linux is much smoother.  And given that OSX is based on BSD, I assume it wouldn't take much to push out something for Linux.

Valve has started the move to Linux, it would be great to see the Adobe's and Autodesk's start writing for Linux too.  I think it would be a huge push for the platform.

          No.

Porting Adobe Products to Linux, will it happen now that CC is a service and not a product?

Having been following the threads and posts about Adobe CC for Linux for the last year, and many people saying that the audience is not large enough to support the porting of the CC suite over to Linux, I can agree with many that the day Adobe ports Adobe CC to Linux Microsoft and I will part ways. The ONLY reason I run Windows is because I have to run AE, PP, AI, PS, and Media Encoder to support myself. Seriously Adobe,  this is a good thing...do it !!!!!

They won't do it, it's marketing. And also a lot of ignorance from their side, thinking they don't have any potential customers using Linux.

I have heard through the grapevine that Apple pays Adobe to keep it from Linux development.  I think if Adobe had a survey and asked CC subscribers if they would pay for a Linux distribution, they might find a small army ready to dump Microsoft.  I would be among them. I hate monopolies and paying Microsuck just to use After Effects.   If you see this Adobe...work with us and screw Apple.  Weight the market for Linux users vs what Aplle pays you to force us to stick with Windows.....

It's amazing how they avoid answering this question.

From a comment on FB today:

They always avoid responding to this request. Adobe knows that they are the only players out there so they don't give a sh*t about people like us. What can we do? Just like me, you probably use Win/OSx ONLY because Adobe doesn't run on Ubuntu. It's very frustrating. Adobe products are fantastic but their marketing and management seem to be a bit soulless and greedy.

First off it is not quite that easy to port it. They would have to hire and pay linux experts etc.

Also there are many software titles that are mac an Windows only (Office) and they also get the gruff. I see from a numbers standpoint no, it is not worth the cost to port it. But many game compaies are seeing the benifit from gamers liking the company thus buying more and the cost of porting is being exceeded by sales. Once these numbers hit the fan more things will be ported over.

I'm no expert and have no idea how much it will cost. But I really doubt that it's going to cost millions. For a company with networth of 18 billion dollars, it's probably not that much. As I said earlier, it seems like they just prefer not to spend the money because those who have to use Adobe products, like me, will get Windows or OSx anyway. We have no other option.

Those other apps that you gave as examples which not run on Linux have fantastic alternatives on Linux. Adobe products don't. That's a huge difference.
