Are there any compatibility issues with doing this?   I have some Robohelp 7 files to work with and am wondering if I should upgrade to Robohelp 11.   Thanks!

They should upgrade fine – just make sure that you have a backup copy made in case anything goes sideways ;>)

Test out a copy of your RH 7 projects on a trial copy of RH11 to experiment.

Just to add, after you upgrade from RoboHelp 7, run the Tools > Update

DHTML effects in topics option. This is required because RoboHelp 7 has

a different topic structure than later versions.

Also, during upgrading from RoboHelp 7, I have encountered the error

that .apj could not be found or openend. This happens on

legacy projects created prior to RH7. If you encounter this, here's how

to fix it:

- Remove the project and restore from backup.

- Create a new, blank project in RoboHelp 7.

- Copy the missing file from the blank RH7 project into your project.

- Try upgrading again. It will work fine now.

Kind regards,

Willam
