2. Re: Photoshop CS4 taking long time to start
jimethridge May 9, 2014 12:12 PM (in response to twenty_one)I timed the startup. It takes almost 3 minutes for the splash screen to appear. Then another minute and a half for the program to open. That is what I am talking about. It does sit on the "searching for plug-ins" a while once the splash screen appears.
Thanks in advance.

3. Re: Photoshop CS4 taking long time to start
twenty_one May 9, 2014 12:26 PM (in response to jimethridge)OK, then you have a problem with some plugin. Are they correctly installed and at the correct version level? Disable them all, then add one by one.

4. Re: Photoshop CS4 taking long time to start
jimethridge May 9, 2014 12:59 PM (in response to twenty_one)Well, things are much better. All I did was remove all the plug-ins from the plug-in folder, leaving the folder, rebooted, and opened Photoshop. It opened in 35 seconds. Then I moved all the plug-ins back into their folder. Photoshop then opened in about 10 seconds. Not sure it will last. We'll see. Thanks for your help.
