1. Re: Default screen sizes for fuid grid & media query
Nancy O. Mar 17, 2014 3:41 PM (in response to Tom_Flannery)You don't need to do this because the mobile layout is % width up to a max-width of 480px. So it covers any size mobile device from 0 to 480 landscape.
Same goes for Tablets. The tablet range is a min-width of 481 to a max-width of 768px.
Desktop is min-width 769px up to 1232px.
Below is a working example of the FGLayout. Resize your viewport.

2. Re: Default screen sizes for fuid grid & media query
Tom_Flannery Mar 18, 2014 7:22 AM (in response to Nancy O.)I guess I was not clear in what I wanted to change. Using the icons at the lower right selects the mobile, tablet and desktop view. I want to change the default of the mobile from 480 to 320. I also want to change the default fluid grid size for mobile from 480 to 320. I know I can create new display sizes in preferences but would like the defaults to be different base sizes. If the system allowed for the use of pixel ratio it would also be helpful. An iPhone5 has a screen pixel size of 640x1136 but a pixel ratio/density of 2 making the effective screen size 320x568 in portrait orientation. If I design for the default 480, the layout will change on the actual device. Not everything can fit neatly into the fluid grid with flexible div elements.

Unfortunately not. Not yet user-customizable. While it can be done by extending DW, reverse-engineering is prohibited & I wont be able to help you there.
You could however file a feature request: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish
