Flash Player for Windows 8 (Internet Explorer) is embedded by Microsoft and it updates/upgrades through Windows Update.
In the Control Panel, open System and Security, and click the "Check For Updates" link. If there's a Flash Player update, it'll find it.
The last one was March 11,2014 (12.0.0.77)

I have a problem of my own. Despite all the knowledge I have gathered from researching, I just CANNOT figure out a way to make flash player adobe work on internet explorer. I am pretty sure I have internet explorer 11 and I will "happily" explain everything I have tried.
1) I have disabled ActiveX filtering
2) On the manage add-ons page in the tools column, I have enabled shockwave flash object (Don't think this is what I need for my issue)
3) I have installed adobe flash player on internet explorer with all other programs closed.
And here's what I do, I open up something and it says it needs at least Flash adobe player 9 in order to work, it gives me a link to a page where I download and it installs flash player adobe. The issue is it seems to do it for google chrome I presume, which is obviously useless as google chrome automatically updates flash and any other shenanigans.
Even after going through all these steps I go back on the page that required flash player adobe in the first place, and it still said it requires it. One thing I notice is that whenever I load up this page, a little yellow box on the bottom middle of the screen comes up saying "An add-on has failed to run." This I believe is the real killler/issue I am facing. Although I do not know what I need to do to fix the problem.
One last fact to prove all my efforts being wasted is that I went on to this site: Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows
And on the first step it asks you to "Click here" in a yellow box with black writing which I press and it comes up with:
Your System Information:
Your flash version: Not installed
Your browser name: Internet Explorer
Your Operating System (OS): Windows (Windows 7)
This is black and white proof that no matter what I trial the outcome is the same. If anyone can resolve my issue it would be a dream come true!!

What you see is a result of this:
"User-Agent Strings"
That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser (Read more here).
User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video.
Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome).
Trouble is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't interpret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11.
YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play.
Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess they've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older version of IE...
The Problem with THAT is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that, because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

It's amazing at how you managed to find out the source of my problem, I really appreciate it. But despite your efforts at recommending other browsers I need flash adobe player to work on IE for programs that require IE to have working flash adobe player such as a document called Le bot, which is for gaming purposes, so for now I am having to have a friend use Le bot for me. The final question is, is there any way I can actually resolve the problem? I would love it if you could give me help info on skype, my skype name is munch_crunch1

Until Microsoft pulls their collective heads out of.... the sand (for lack of a better descriptive term) and fixes IE11.... there's not really much you can do other than going back to IE 10, which fortunately... for Windows 7 users... IS still an option.
