1. Re: Toolbar font
Mark Tezak May 14, 2014 8:05 AM (in response to jsl01)Acrobat 11.0.7 now supports Hi DPI resolutions (aka 4K). It can also be turned on/off using Preferences/General/Scale for Screen Resolution. This may lie at the root of your problem and may provide some 'relief'. Obviously you can scale up the resolution of your display that will make everything larger, but this isn't an optimal solution. It is not possible to isolate a specific UI component and enlarge it. It is possible to adjust the rendering of content such as text and images, but not the UI.
Could you provide some details regarding your system incl. hardware?
- OS version
- screen resolution
- highest possible screen resolution using your display and graphic card?

2. Re: Toolbar font
jsl01 May 14, 2014 8:17 AM (in response to Mark Tezak)Thanks.
When I changed the settings to 100% it was the same as the default Auto setting.
When I changed it to 200% it was way to large.
There is no in between.
I may have to live with it.

jsl01 May 15, 2014 6:00 PM (in response to jsl01)Just a follow up.
Reinstalled Acrobat and updated to Acrobat 11.0.6
Will leave it that way until the next update and then I will see if it happens again.

Luc Leroy @ Adobe May 16, 2014 9:47 AM (in response to jsl01)Hi,
In order to help us make the application better, can you tell us which system PPI settings you are using? I suspect 125 or 150%?
Thanks
Luc

I am at 125% - 1920x1080 Wide Screen monitor
Windows 7 Pro SP1.
Please note that this did not happen any previous releases (updated versions).

6. Re: Toolbar font
Mark Tezak May 16, 2014 10:16 AM (in response to jsl01)As I mentioned in my first reply, we have upgraded the latest Acrobat release 11.0.7 to use Hi DPI settings, that is why it didn't happen in previous releases. Although this should not be construed as a recommendation to upgrade your operating system, the upgrade works in an optimal way in nearly every Windows 8 system environment, and it should be noted that Microsoft is driving Hi DPI solutions as well.
We'll continue to try to reproduce your working environment and come up with a solution if possible.

7. Re: Toolbar font
jsl01 May 16, 2014 10:43 AM (in response to Mark Tezak)Mark,
Thanks for your reply.
I am not about to upgrade to Windows 8 nor should any body else who has this problem on a Windows 7 platform. My computer is fairly new and I can not spend any more money to go to Windows 8 or update any other software and hardware to make it work with W8.
If I try to adjust the DPI for Acrobat to work right it will mess with my other software.
I do hope you find a solution to this problem before the next update.
Like I said before I will keep it at 11.0.6

Luc Leroy @ Adobe May 20, 2014 10:49 AM (in response to jsl01)Hi,
Since you express the need of using an intermediate scaling ration, a solution has been posted here:
I hope this helps.
Best,
Luc

jsl01 May 20, 2014 12:48 PM (in response to Luc Leroy @ Adobe)Thanks for the link.
That OP was for Acrobat Reader and your possible solution had to do with Acrobat Reader registry.
There was no dDPI scaling under the HKEY for Acrobat Reader .
There was no AVGeneral under Acrobat Reader.
There is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\AdobeAcrobat\11.0\AVGeneral
But there is NO dDPIscaling
Even when I added this setting, it still did nothing to fix the problem.
Once again went back to Release 6.

10. Re: Toolbar font
alexei60 May 22, 2014 11:49 AM (in response to jsl01)Close Adobe before running regedit, otherwise the setting will stay the same. In my case the font size changed but all menu icons look ugly - they are not properly scaled.
