How to import files in as layers

    ryan_khoo Community Member

I am trying to make all the open files into layers. See this video

      At 0:53 to 1:08

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmwrWCMdYqI

where the lecturer drop the snow photos onto the clouds tabs.

I did try the shift-key and drag onto the clouds tab as shown but it doesn't work.

This is because in the the youtube, when she click and drag there is a rectangle boundary moving as you drag. But in my case, I do not see the rectangle box. Thus, my snow was no stack into the clouds tab !

      Any tips ?

      Thanks

The shift key does not need to be held down until the other document is displayed. The shift key is to center the image only.

Steps to copy an image from one document(#2) to a second document(#1).

          1) Open #1 then open #2 you should now see two tabs at the top (one for each document).

2)Click the #2 tab to make it visible

3)Select the layer(s) from the layers panel (One or more layers can be selected)

          4)Place cursor over the doument

5)Hold down left mouse button and drag up to the #1 tab

6)keep mouse button held down and wait for #1 to become visible

7)While the mouse button is still held down press the shift key

8)Drag your mouse down over the #1 document

          9)Let go of mouse

          10)Let go of shift key

11)You should see one or more layers from #2 document now in the #1 document
