How to install multiple language on a single machine?

    jmlg12 Community Member

      Hello,

As the Kuler Plug-In don't exist in the French version of Illustrator, Is it possible to make a multilingual installation and chose the language in the Application Preference panel ?

      Many Thanks

Jmlg12 which operating system are you using?  I would also recommend reviewing Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html which discusses how to affect the installation language of the Adobe Creative applications included with your membership.

            Hi,

I may use either Mavericks or Win7.

And I know how to define the installation language of the application, except that you can select only one.

But the concern is more to have multiple language installed at a time, in order to allow the user to use it's favorite one.

I mean in our context, in the creation studio we have multiple nationalities and on some computers in "free access" (eg not dedicated to one person) it would be smart to install at least 2 languages (French and English).

On the other hand, as some features (Kuler) don't exists in the French version of Ai and PS it could help switching to the English version even for a Frenchy.

On Mac and PC, you can select your favorite language for the system, and I'm not so sure that it was not possible for Adobe software in the past....

Jmlg12 you are correct changing the language of the installation is a new feature available with Creative Cloud.  Previously you would purchase perpetual licenses which would be tied to a specific language or set of languages.

Unfortunately it is currently necessary to remove and reinstall the majority of the Creative Cloud applications to implement the language change.  You may want to configure the OS and the installed Adobe applications so that they are specific to a specific language.  Thus you could have a French configured OS with French installed applications next to another computer configured for Norwegian.
