Jerry Klaimon May 17, 2014 10:38 AM (in response to owiseone61755)This can be done by keying the vertical motion in the effects control panel. I've used this to drop a title from the sky, bounce a couple of times and then land on the ground. Takes a few minutes to get it just right. Then add the sfx.
You can also key the other effects controls, such as scale.

owiseone61755 May 17, 2014 5:46 PM (in response to Peru Bob)I tried the zoom in reverse and its zooming the black background rather than the actual text. What am I doing wrong?

owiseone61755 May 17, 2014 5:48 PM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)I mean falling as if the background were the ground itself and we were looking from a top down view. Where the text "falls" from the foreground and lands on the background.

owiseone61755 May 17, 2014 5:54 PM (in response to Peru Bob)Where it says Tastefully offensive.com has a reverse zoom on it. And i've tried it with background checked and unchecked in the titler. You can see its reverse zooming the black background rather than the text.

6. Re: Looking for name of title effect
Steven L. Gotz May 17, 2014 9:20 PM (in response to owiseone61755)If what you want is to have the title start out bigger and then get to the correct size, making it look like the title fell from 3D space on to the flat surface of the screen, create the title using a larger frame size than your project, without a background - just text - and then scale it down using the keyframes of the Scale parameter of the Motion effect.
It is easier to sell the effect if it bounces, and also if it blows in a bit (changing the position parameters).
