Photoshop CC, DropShadow, Outline Stroke Effect

Hello,

I am using Photoshop CC and I am trying to apply the drop shadow effect to a text, the thing is that I already applied the outline stroke effect to the text and when I apply the drop shadow it hides under the stroke. I tried making the size of the shadow bigger but this doesn't fix the problem because it doesn't look like I need it to because it's all faded. Please let me know if someone knows how to fix this problem.
