Hi! I have returned to my Premiere Pro project today to find that none of the audio on the timeline sequences is playing back. Not only can I not hear it, but the audio level is flat-lining as well. However, when I double click on an audio file to open it in the source window the audio plays back fine.
I have tried checking the audio channels and they are correctly set up as 'left' and 'right'. All the sequences in my project were created from .XML files exported from Pluraleyes.
Video footage was shot on Canon 5D MK2 in H.264 format and audio recorded on a ZOOM H4N as .wav files.
I'm utterly confused as to why audio playback would have been working perfectly fine yesterday but suddenly today it's not working. I've not, to my knowledge, amended any of the project settings in the interim. I tried creating a new sequence in the same project and copying and pasting over the files but had the same problem.
I've also created a new test project and imported one of the .XML files into that. The audio worked perfectly fine on the timeline in that instance. However, I really would like to find a fix for my existing project because I have spent a lot of time importing the footage and it's a big project I'm going to be working on for months and I can't afford for this issue to happen - at random - again.
At the moment I'm just reviewing and logging footage but when I start editing properly it's imperative I can be confident that I won't run into this issue. I'm using the trial version of Premiere Pro at the moment and will have to re-think my plans to subscribe and use it for this important project if no certain answer can be found.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
