FreeHand does not run natively in Mavericks but it does run in Mavericks via virtualization. This means you can have an application like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox that runs Snow Leopard alongside Mavericks with FreeHand installed in one of those. It works well and you can't tell it is any different from it running natively. I've also used Crossover, which uses a Windows version of FreeHandMX on the Mac.
