Yours is a completely different problem; you should have opened a new thread. PageMaker cannot be installed in any Mac with an OS X not cappable of running in Classic mode.

Jay Chevako May 28, 2014 2:53 AM (in response to jnandeep)Pagemaker files corrupt easily. The best method is to prevent corruption before it happens, and to have multiple sequential back ups as you go along so that when your file goes bad you can recover as much of your work as possible.
To prevent corruption place and link your images so that they are not stored in the pagemaker file, and use quality fonts. Sequential backups are easy, as you go along number your document and as often as necessary save your document with a new number, keep those backups at least until the job is done.A few possible (very remotely possible) ways to recover a bad file: Open the pagemaker document on a different platform. If you are using a pc version, try opening it on a mac, or the reverse. Another thing to try is changing the file extension to one or two version earlier, change .pmd to pm6.5 or.pm6, change .pm6.5 to .pm6 or .pm5, change.pm6 to .pm5, etc.
