Ann Bens May 29, 2014 2:25 AM (in response to OE2727)Is this also in the final product (your export)?

shooternz May 29, 2014 2:30 AM (in response to OE2727)Why is there a watermark in the area of your issue and circle?
"ME...."

3. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
Ann Bens May 29, 2014 4:39 AM (in response to shooternz)Dont think that is a watermark but part of the cross dissolve.
If you blow up the image you can see it clearer.

4. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
OE2727 May 29, 2014 8:37 AM (in response to OE2727)Ann, yes it shows on the timeline and also on the final product when I export
shooterns, Im glad you noticed, what looks as the watermark thats actually part of what Im describing, on the next frame that "watermark" effect will show on different parts of the video and so on during the entire duration of the transition (dissolve)
I didnt know you could post video in here, Im going to try to show some video later today when Im on my system, I thought it would be a more common problem between users. Thanks

JSS1138 May 29, 2014 8:38 AM (in response to OE2727)Kind of looks like an interlacing issue.

8. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
OE2727 May 29, 2014 1:50 PM (in response to Ann Bens)Hi Ann, I think with your last comment I figured it out, however it now opened a whole new issue.
I shoot on an HDV camera, so the original footage is on 1440x1080(1.3333) however when I forward commercials to the media it must be on 1920x1080(1.0)... because of that reason the timeline where I work is on 1920x1080(1.0) so all the footage has to resize into the timeline (it does it automatically)
So I created a new timeline with the same size as the original footage 1440x1080 and the problem is fixed, the transitions dont get messed up anymore. However now I have a whole new issue. I MUST export on 1920x1080, thats just how the stations accept the commercials, but when I export from a timeline of 1440x1080 into a video of 1920x1080 the system creates black spaces on the sides to compensate the new size. I cant submit commercials like that.
So now I fixed one issue but created a new one. I guess I will create a new discussion for this new issue. Thanks!

9. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
Ann Bens May 29, 2014 2:16 PM (in response to OE2727)You can export hdv to 1920x1080 without black spaces.
Post a screenshot of your export settings.
I think you got the PAR wrong somewhere.
HDV has a par of 1.33, 1920x1080 is 1.0.

10. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
JSS1138 May 30, 2014 7:25 AM (in response to OE2727)[I'd prefer to keep just one thread per issue, so the new thread has been deleted and this post moved here. Below was originally posted by OE2727.]
This started in another discussion and at one moment we thought we solved the issue but after some testing I see the issue still remains. Im starting a new discussion also to put the video on top
I have a new Apple Pro system and installed the whole CC platform. When I dissolve from one image to another horizontal lines start showing up on the video. this only happens during the transition, and I notice it happens more often when I add color correction effects to the video
We thought it was because my timeline settings did not match the footage settings, however I now have exactly the same settings on the timeline as on the footage which is HDV 1440x1080 (1.333) and the problem still remains
Im including a video so you guys can see exactly what Im referring to, it actually looks like a flickering on the video but if you pause it frame by frame they are horizontal lines that shows up on different places on each frame
Any help how to solve this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

11. Re: Horizontal lines appear when dissolving between shots
stephenunc May 30, 2014 7:41 AM (in response to JSS1138)to me it looks like your bit rate is too low on export.
the "water mark" in the OP almost matches the "media pending" graphic.
don't know if that helps.

OE2727 May 30, 2014 2:46 PM (in response to stephenunc)I dont think thats what it is Stephen, the lines show up on the timeline, not just when I export, thanks!
