Will CF11 be available on AWS?
CF10 is no longer available for new setups, so our new project is having a major roadblock.

Hi david,
Yes, CF11 would be available on AWS. We are working on it. Committing an ETA will be early now. We will announce it on Social Media. Stay updated.

Are you sure? Thus far Adobe has never abruptly terminated a product one version back from the most current. Last I heard, CF9 was still available -- you just have to buy the CF10 or CF11 license and ask to have it retrofitted (we still use CF9 so I know).

CF10 is not sold on AWS any more, but it is still supported. There were some issues. CF11 will be available on AWS.

We have a project using cf10 on aws and it works real well, so were were going to use it for a new project where they want to keep initial costs down, I looked a few weeks ago at the page with the client to explain how the pricing worked and it was fine then, now it says its not available to new customers, seems to me it that it was disabled when cf11 was released. CF10 has been available on aws for years at this point, to remove it now at the same time that cf11 is released tells me its related, and not wanting people to use the old version is fine, but it should have happened AFTER cf11 we available. Now we are in the position of them needing to buy CF or go with some other cf-flavor.

Not to side-track the issue but this statement confuses me. When I did some AWS pricing research a year or so back the best pricing I found for CF hosting was in the neighborhood of $1000 per month. I do not consider this "inexpensive" by any stretch. Did I miss something or is my definition of inexpensive different for others participating in this thread?

Adobe ColdFusion on AWS Marketplace
The initial cost is $0 since you don't buy anything and there are no setup fees, and an m1.large instance with windows & cf10 enterprise costs $0.449/hr which comes to $323.28 for 30 days

Ok. That is quite a bit cheaper than I found in my research at the time (or at least what I remember, which could be off). Back then I was looking for a replacement host for a small site my mother operates. $323 is still much too high for her. I ended up using a shared hosting provider at under $8 per month and she has been very happy (as well as me, since I'm the one supporting her and her site).

That is from the older version i.e. ColdFusion 10 and not ColdFusion 11
