    Last version not working at all.

      Hi.

       

      I usually use Brackets, but to answer a question Edge web fonts non intégré (Edge Code) on the french forum, i gave a chance to Edge Code.

       

      Installed on my mac (10.7.5) via CC, and fell on an issue i already had long ago on brackets : except the main text window, all the rest of the Ui was completely unresponsive : I could click on any menu item, nothing would work, click on icons with no success, even the shortcuts didn't react.

       

      I had already seen this, so i adviced him to install the last release of Brackets

       

      What surprised me besides that is that by default, the edge webfonts aren't installed, which, to me sounded like a basic for the Edge family.

       

      Let me know if you can replicate this, or track it back.

          Start by going through the Troubleshooting Guide. Let us know if that gets it working or not.

            What surprised me besides that is that by default, the edge webfonts aren't installed, which, to me sounded like a basic for the Edge family.

             

            The Edge Web Fonts extension is built into Edge Code -- you should see the icon in the toolbar on the upper-right.  The fonts themselves aren't installed locally, but because thy're webfonts you don't need them installed locally to develop using them.

              Randy, i found the behaviour i was looking for there (yep, i search github with my name to find the issue…)

                The extensions in the www/extensions/default folder are "built-in" so you don't need to disable those. Go to the user folder for Edge Code (on Mac):

                 

                  ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Edge Code CC

                 

                Start by deleting the cef_data and live-dev-profile folders to clear the caches.

                 

                Then move all extensions in the extensions/user folder to the extension/disabled folder and try again.

                  Hi Peter, thanks for the answer. I've trashed Code, and installed again via CC (which meant restarting the CC desktop app…)

                    Thanks Randy. Don't tell Peter, but the only extension i disabled was… pflynn.svg.preview (from September 2013, remain of a former installation i guess)

                     

                    And it's working now.

                     

                    I'll track with the user in the forum if he has this kind of issues.

                        Interesting... one other SVG Preview user reported that problem back in February -- see https://github.com/peterflynn/svg-preview/issues/4.  Can you try the suggestion in my last comment there and post back on that thread with the results?  I'd definitely love to pin down what's going on.

                          Did that to svg preview, no success.

                          What's more surprising is that in Edge Code's extension panel (after clicking the brick icon on the right) I only have the "installed extensions", no "available extensions".

                           

                          Is this expected ?

                            That's correct -- Edge Code doesn't connect to the open-source Brackets extension listing at this time.  If you want to enable it manually, you can do so by following the instructions here: http://blogs.adobe.com/edgecode/enabling-the-brackets-extension-registry-in-edge-code/
