1. Re: Live Preview not Working
Randy Edmunds Mar 15, 2014 1:04 PM (in response to Sangahyando)The Chrome API that Brackets uses changed in version 34 (beta, dev, canary), so be sure to use version 33 (stable). This will be fixed in the next release of Edge Code.
Also, Live HTML does not update page as you type if you specify your own server (i.e. Base URL), but will update when you save your page.
Hope this helps,
Randy

YezMUCH Mar 20, 2014 7:50 AM (in response to Sangahyando)Problem with LivePreview mode solved!
You need to open your files as a folder:
File -> Open Folder
Than it works great and refresh without saving pageWish you all best ))) friends..

Sangahyando Mar 20, 2014 9:02 AM (in response to YezMUCH)Hi YezMUCH, that may be true in a lot of cases, but not mine as by default that is what I do.
Downgrading Chrome worked for me, though there are still intermittent issues (no errors) when writing Sass, which is then compiled by Compass into a stylesheet within my folder structure. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. (Yes, I do save my Sass files first.
Thanks

5. Re: Live Preview not Working
Peter Flynn (Adobe) Mar 20, 2014 2:37 PM (in response to Sangahyando)There's a known incompatibility with Chrome Beta (Chrome 34), which will be fixed in the next release of Edge Code. Is that the version you were on before?
In terms of Sass/Compass -- the current release of Edge Code only notices externally-modified files if you leave the Edge Code window and then come back. The next version of Edge Code will do a much better job of recognizing changes instantly & automatically.
In the meantime, with the current release, you should be able to trigger Edge Code to check by quickly Alt-Tabbing to a different app and then back. But the trick is if you do it too soon after saving your Sass edits (before the background Sass->CSS compilation is done) then there won't be any CSS file change to notice yet. But hopefully knowing that's what triggers the check for changes will at least make it feel a little more predictable for now.

JarkeztheSecond May 25, 2014 9:13 AM (in response to Peter Flynn (Adobe))I am getting this message even though my connection seems fine and I get live updates to the browser and mobile devices.
I just get the same pop up which is rather annoying. Every 10-20 secs, mainly when I am editting css with the css file open and not using quick edit.

Dennz_1 Jun 1, 2014 6:10 AM (in response to Randy Edmunds)Hi Randy,
Live preview still does not work form me. When i press the "live preview" button it just keep saying "connecting" and nothing happends..
I am currently using Chrome 35.0.1916.114 m and my verion of Edge Code is up to date (according to the CC desktop app). So my guess would be downgrading chrome to 34?

Randy Edmunds Jun 1, 2014 5:56 PM (in response to Dennz_1)Dennis,
Start by going through the Troubleshooting Guide. If it still doesn't work, then try Chrome stable version which is currently at 34.

JarkeztheSecond Jun 1, 2014 7:30 PM (in response to Randy Edmunds)Hi Randy,
sounds good. Just wondered if this was available on the 28th or before? I'm in holiday at the moment and the last time I used CC was the 27th so don't know if I already had the update or not before I left.
THanks

bchinTX Jun 10, 2014 3:05 PM (in response to JarkeztheSecond)You can also confirm if you have the latest release of Edge Code by looking at the application's About box. The latest release, Preview 8, will display "experimental build 0.98.0-359086273 (Preview)". You can access the About box via `Help > About Adobe Edge Code` on Windows or `Edge Code > About Adobe Edge Code` on Mac.
Hope this helps,
Bryan
