I've been using ADE for years. Of a sudden, when I changed computers, I can't use it. Downloads from vendors (in this case Kobo) won't work, and I can't activate ADE on my current computer.
I have uninstalled and installed repeatedly, turned off Windows Firewall, wiped parts of the Registry (Adept folder) as instructed, seen there are no active or failed tasks, etc.
Still, I get the "can't contact server" error message.
This is becoming extremely irritating, and I'd like some help solving.

Same Issue here, but it seems like the program is hanging up on the activation screen (window goes to not responding) and then says I'm not connected to the internet at the same time I'm on here... go figure.
I'd like to figure this out so I can get some eBooks on my new Kobo.
