Can a RoboHelp snippet that contains a list, be appended to an existing list in a topic?

I have several procedures that use the same steps as part of the procedure to create something. I would love to use a snippet for these common steps. However, when I try to create a snippet of these numbered steps and then reuse them in the procedure list, the snippet step numbers all say 1 instead of picking up with the next available number in the existing list. For example, my list in the topic has steps 1-3. My snippet contains the remaining steps - which should be number 4-12. How can make this happen?

My guess is that there is a way around this. Try editing the snippet's HTML code to remove the <ol> tag and save it. Having added the snippet to the topic, enter the HTML view and I bet there is a </ol> tag just before the snippet. If you remove this, does this achieve what you want?

I suspect something went wrong with the install. Can you roll it back and see if that works? If it does, try installing the patch again.

Hi there

Just sort of curious as to the behavior you see if you right-click the snippet area in the topic and choose to convert it to HTML text.

Cheers... Rick
