1. Re: Undo Button?
Steven L. Gotz Jun 3, 2014 8:35 PM (in response to film man 24)There is no "undo" button, but the Undo command of Ctrl-z can be changed to any available key using the Keyboard Shortcuts menu.

film man 24 Jun 3, 2014 9:03 PM (in response to Steven L. Gotz)Thanks for that info. How can I change the preset? I would like to change it so I only have to push one key, that's my big thing. Sounds kind of stupid... but, I don't like contorting my fingers each time. Kind of picky haha

film man 24 Jun 3, 2014 9:09 PM (in response to film man 24)YES, found out how, just go to Edit>keyboard customization and from there you can change and save what you would like. =) thanks for leading me down that road

4. Re: Undo Button?
Steven L. Gotz Jun 3, 2014 9:09 PM (in response to film man 24)The Keyboard Shortcuts menu is in the Edit menu.
When it opens, type the word Undo in the Search box.
That will present you with the Ctrl-z shortcut. Click on the shortcut and type whatever key you want to use. If it is allowed, it will take it. If not it will complain.

5. Re: Undo Button?
Steven L. Gotz Jun 3, 2014 9:11 PM (in response to film man 24)So you had the correct answer? Really? Amazing. Without any help. Hmmm.
I suppose if you had bothered to mention you were using old software, I might have called the menu what it used to be called.

film man 24 Jun 3, 2014 9:32 PM (in response to Steven L. Gotz)Thank you for your help. Premiere Elements had a button on the main screen not in a sub-menu. Just learning the new Pro version . Seemed strange not to have out in the open after being used to Elements.

Just as a heads up, CTRL+Z is the default Undo shortcut for pretty much every single program on the planet that has an Undo command, just like CTRL+C is the norm for Copy. It might be better to get used to the norm, rather then worry about changing it for every single program (many of which don't allow that anyway).

film man 24 Jun 4, 2014 11:44 AM (in response to JSS1138)Thank you Jim, that is a good point. It would be best to get used to Ctrl+Z. It seems like I'm always jackin something up while editing so I am always looking for a that button haha
