Sanjit_Das Feb 20, 2014 3:58 AM (in response to fastfixmag)Hi
If you select "All Files" while publishing the site again , then whole site would be updated and the work done on BC end would be lost as Muse will update the site with as whole.
For only making the changes reflect , you need to select "Only Modified files" this way Muse will only update the changed/updated content, leaving rest as it is.
Please let me know if you are referring any specific content that changed.
With web forms , you should use the form at least once so that BC should record the data submitted via form created , and then updating from Muse will not override the web form.
Thanks,
Sanjit

fastfixmag Feb 20, 2014 4:25 AM (in response to Sanjit_Das)Hi Sanjit
Thanks for your quick response! I have followed your instructions, but the same issue occurs.
I have gone into one of my pages in Muse and removed a Full Stop – very minor change. I select publish and within Options select Only modified files. When viewing in browser the change has been made.
On the same page I update in BC the Page Title in SEO Metadata. Then clicking Update. The change has been made and has not effected the small change made in Muse.
Now back in Muse I make a similar small change and update using Only Modified Files again. Once live in browser the changes made in BC have gone.
The formatting for Announcement Feed has also been over written.
The website is www.fastenerandfixing.com

Sanjit_Das Feb 20, 2014 5:23 AM (in response to fastfixmag)Hi Andy
Are you making changes using In browser editing or from BC admin interface ?
Please note that changes made through In browser editing are only reflected ( synch. ) on Muse file when you re-open the file, other changes may not take effect.
Regarding SEO changes, you can also add the keywords, description through Page properties meta data section in Muse itself.
Thanks,
Sanjit

5. Re: Getting Business Catalyst functions in Muse
geoff123 May 31, 2014 10:51 PM (in response to Sanjit_Das)Hi Sanjit,
I am having problems with forms using BC Webmarketing packaging and Muse.
When I past the html code for the BC form into a Muse page then upload it I get the following error message
http://www.virtualteacher.com.au/images/error-webform.jpg
and the web form is deleted from my Business Catalyst web Forms list.
What is the best solution for integration between BC and Muse.
I want to be continually updating aspects of both.
Can I quarantine some BC pages that Muse will not update?
Any suggestions would be great.
ciao
Cathy

Sanjit_Das Jun 4, 2014 2:11 PM (in response to geoff123)Hi Cathy
Are you still facing the same error ?
This error is due to the fact that you updated your site from Muse which deleted the form created in BC backend. You would need to record data using the form at least once after you create the form on BC end , so it would not be updated when you republish the site from Muse.
Thanks,
Sanjit

geoff123 Jun 4, 2014 2:36 PM (in response to Sanjit_Das)HI Sanjit,
Thanks for this I finally figured this out - not in any videos or instructions - just fluked it.
Can you suggest a good way to format forms using BC templates - if you know of some online instructional video or website that would be great.
Also I need to put the BC login on an existing Muse page and I need to format that - can you also suggest best place to get instructions for this.
Any help is most appreciated. It would be great to have an online database for this stuff.
thanks again.
ciao

Sanjit_Das Jun 4, 2014 3:01 PM (in response to geoff123)Hi Cathy
You can use your own custom code to format forms from BC end through html edit.
Regarding BC login, I believe you are referring to secure zone login, you can certainly use the login window for any page you wish.
