Thanks for the update.
What is your present situation with regard to download source? Have you been offered new downloads that essentially eliminate the issues that you have been facing with the original download?
There are no downloads for the DVR. It is a stand alone system that downloads to a thumb drive. Only option I have for download is to either choose H264 or AVI format.
So far you seem to be using avi format. Please remind me if you have looked at the H.264 format? And, if so, any major pros or cons one way or another?
AVI is jut a file extension, wrapper format, that wraps the compression; whereas, H.264 is a type of video compression. What file extension is associated with your H.264 choice?
I am asking in the hope of trying to find a format without the flaws that you have encountered. I think we have controlled the project settings to your advantage, but it is those video flaws that concern me.
I am not sure on the file extension of the H264. I have just used AVI since I knew one could not use H264 in PE12. If I download next week service in H264, should I convert with the same specifications previously mentioned?
If you get the download that uses the H.264 video compression, see if it is available in other than the .avi wrapper (file extension).
H.264.mp4 or H.264.mov should be just fine for Premiere Elements import as opposed to AVCHD.avi.
After you download the H.264 version, let us go over the video properties to determine the best course of action.
