Cutter61 Aug 1, 2014 11:08 AM (in response to jumpfree29)Hey Jumpfree29
Here's another thread dealing with this issue. Fix appears to be in the works, still.
Pix240 ProRes timecode isn't recognized by Premiere

Ann Bens Aug 1, 2014 11:20 AM (in response to jumpfree29)Did you set Preferences/Media/Timecode to Use Media Source?

Cutter61 Aug 1, 2014 11:24 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Yes. Here's what I posted over there:
[Copied from duplicate thread.]
I'm trying to track down what may be a bug in Premiere Pro 7.2.2.
Exact system details will be added tomorrow when I'm in front of my work machine. OS 10.8.5, Premiere 7.2.2, AJA Kona 3G.
I have 23.98 ProRes 422 footage from an outside post house. They're from a PIX recorder. I am trying to track down the exact model.
Ppro CC (7.2.2) reads this specific set of Qts as starting with "0" timecode. They are in fact time of day (various 10-11-12 hour time codes.)
The preference "Timecode: Use Media Source" is set correctly. (I even tried reversing it just in case).
Ppro CS6 reads them correctly. Final Cut 7 even reads them correctly. Exporting an XML from FCP, in which all TC is correct and matches perfectly (genlocked) results in not only 0 hour TC for each clip in Premiere, but up to 20 second offsets.
I opened The FCP XML in CS6 on my laptop, looked correct. Saved the CS6 project, opened that in 7.2.2 and got the same 0 hour TC and severely mis-aligned multi cam source sequences.
I have a workaround, I'll just run with the incorrect timecode for this one-off project. This will be a real problem, however, down the road.
Anyone else experience this? I found the following 2 threads on Adobe and one from Seth Goldin:

Any insight would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Dan
