Hi.
I ran into a problem a couple weeks ago where certain files/folders would not sync. Some would, but others wouldn't. I looked online and in these forums and tried everything and nothing worked. However, I did come across something and it worked for my problem, so I thought I'd share.
For me, it was not a problem with files but with a folder. I created a sub-folder and subsequently renamed it. Obviously it automatically names it "New Folder", which doesn't help me so I renamed it, for clarity I'll call it "Bob". What I think happened is that CC tried to sync as I was renaming the folder. Because what happened is I got messages saying files were not syncing and now I had two folders, one called "New Folder" and one called "Bob" that were identical. I tried deleting "New Folder" but as soon as I did, it re-synced and put it back. I turned off syncing and deleted it, but when I turned sync back on, it reappeared.
I checked on CC and saw that it only showed that I had "Bob" and not "New Folder". So I had a phantom folder.
What I did was:
Not sure if this will help everyone with their issues, but I know it was frustrating to me and I hope it helps. This issue happened to me twice in the past few weeks and this method worked both times. Not sure what exactly is causing the issue. Maybe the delay for doing a sync when adding new files or folders could be increased? Not sure.
Hope this helps.
