1. Re: Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page
Stan Jones Jun 9, 2014 12:29 PM (in response to eday_2010)I try something new,
Yeah; don't do that.
the "first" page of the menu,
the second page
Just curious: In this type situation, what is the advantage of a multipage menu? Yes, it should work, but...
Please post a screenshot of your flowchart. Sometimes, "odd" things (that should not have anything to do with anything) create problems.
BD RW is your friend.

2. Re: Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page
eday_2010 Jun 9, 2014 1:27 PM (in response to Stan Jones)I have music and a video playing in the background, so the multi page menu is great for going to new pages and having the video and music continue playing, instead of having the DVD style menu where everything stops and starts over when you change pages.
So here is the top of my flowchart showing the main page of the menu and where each button goes. Everything works except Bonus Features going to P3B2 (I am guessing B2 is Button 2, which is what I want).

And here is the bottom of my flow chart showing what each button on that menu does.
Hopefully you spot something that is off. I might try to wrangle a second blu-ray player and see if it does it in a different machine as well.

3. Re: Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page
Stan Jones Jun 9, 2014 4:13 PM (in response to eday_2010)Thanks for the explanation; an excellent reason for multipage.
You have exceeded the max 32 buttons per bluray menu. (I believe that is per page for a multipage.) Create an additional scenes menu, and I'll bet all will work fine.
Edit: I thought Encore had been modified to allow the Bluray spec of 32 per menu, but I do not see that change in the guide; it may only allow 18: the DVD limit for 16:9 menus.
Usually, you will simply see buttons not work, but may also get the effect you are getting where the wrong things play.

4. Re: Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page
eday_2010 Jun 9, 2014 4:56 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Actually I haven't. There are two pages of chapter links, each with 24 chapter buttons and two navigation buttons. That #48 you see is the last chapter button on the second page.
I have created Blu-rays before with more than 32 buttons on a page. But I will create a test disc and reduce the number of buttons to 16 to see if it fixes the problem. If it does, I will try with 32 and see what happens.

5. Re: Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page
eday_2010 Jun 9, 2014 6:39 PM (in response to eday_2010)Well, this is rather embarrassing. When building a new disc, for some reason it was building to Disc 1.iso instead of Disc 2.iso. So I kept burning the same ISO over and over that didn't have the changes. Once I realized this and burned the most recent ISO with my changes (disc 1.iso), everything worked.
Let this be a lesson to you kids out there: pay close attention to everything!
