1. Re: Editing Mp4 in Cs5
Jeff Bellune Jun 10, 2014 8:05 AM (in response to ruez30)Do you have the original project? That would be the best solution both for editing and export to H.264. Otherwise, you should set your new sequence to match the properties of the imported MP4. Without more details about the "jitter" and when it occurs, my best guess is that you have mismatched field order in your current project. As for export, use the file format and codec that you need. If all you have as a source is the MP4 file, and if an export to H.264 causes a generational loss of quality, then so be it.
Cheers,
Jeff

ruez30 Jun 10, 2014 9:50 AM (in response to Jeff Bellune)Thanks Jeff I will try that and see how it works out. The original would take forever to piece back together.
Have a fabulous day!

Biggles Lamb Jun 10, 2014 10:00 AM (in response to ruez30)I would guess that the mp4 is a progressive video file and you have used a DV preset to re-edit.
As you are editing an mp4 file you need to initially use a sequence with settings that match the file.
To use a mp4 compatible sequence drag your file from the media window onto the new icon at the bottom of the window.
Then when you export make sure that you match the pixels 720x480 or 576 ( depends where you are)

ruez30 Jun 13, 2014 5:25 AM (in response to Biggles Lamb)Thanks Biggles! Not quite sure what I did right this time, but I didn't have the jitters when I exported! YEA! You guys both gave me some great information and I appreciate it! Doesn't this forum have a place to click when problem is solved? And you guys earn points? I can't find it if there is one.
Thanks
Val
