Why is my flash update freezing? (Screenshot)

I am trying to install the latest flash player update but it just freezes when I run the installer.

Not sure if this is downloading the update per say, but I left it running for over an hour and nothing happened, just a spinning pinwheel.

I am on a Mac, OSX 10.9.3 Mavericks, and trying to install the latest flash player update. I added a screenshot below...

Also where should I have posted this?

Thanks a lot. I had the same problem as the OP. Your solution worked.

Pat Willener:

Thanks for that link.—it worked for me. I hope someone in Adobe's Tech Support is monitoring these forums. There is clearly something wrong with the other update installer. I pasted some log info in my other reply about having problems with the installer.

There must be a problem with the latest Flash Installer, because I haven't had issues with the installers before this version. I'm getting the spinning beach ball after authorizing the installation on my MBP.

I'm seeing these log files in Console:

I'm wondering why SIMBL appears to be involved in this process, unless that message is a red herring. I have EasySIMBL version 1.4 installed.

I had the same issues... I posted to twitter, under the handle @djkinkle , about it with screen shots.

Also, I'm going to post the link to the download located in this forum to twitter.
