Opening my Adobe Illustrator CC App yields dimmed menus and files will not open?

"Installed again"? How?

Thanks John... Will get after it this morning and see what happens. I actually dreamed how to do it. I think in my panic my brain crashed too.

I have unistalled both the AI CC and AI CS6. And then uninstalled CC. All uninstallation according to step by step instructions.

Restarted the computer, installed and ran the Cleaner Tool, and restarted computer. Attempted to verify as per instructions but found no log files.

I installed the Creative Cloud app successfully and I am reinstalling the apps. This will take a while apparently.

Note: The selection is not "install", but "try". Why isn't it "install"? Curious.

So far so good. Will report once Illustrator loads and I can 'try' it.

Well, it appears something is seriously wrong. AI CC behaves as it did prior to the "FIX".

I currently have thousands of files I cannot access on my computer. Not good.

Help!

I completed the CC download. I completed the individual app download. I cannot use Illustrator CC. The menus are dimmed.

I followed all of the steps recommended by numerous folks. I now have AI CC up and running. Thanks to you all.
