Flash Player installation does not start after having downloaded

I just received an update notice. Then, downloaded... Opened the installer... It says: "Retrieving install", but nothing's happening !!!

Is there a software problem?

Try the offline installers:

• Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
• Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
• Flash Player for Mac OS X

Thank you for the response. I downloaded from the link (I am a Mac user, by the way) you posted. I have no problem with the download as before. The installer opens up... The installation window is the, and it says "Retrieving installation", I see the progress bar, but it does not install... the progress bar shows 0%.

After a while there comes another window saying " Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again".

I don't know what's wrong?

I don't understand this; the installer on the link I posted is the full installer - it shouldn't go retrieving anything during the install.

Hopefully someone with more Mac experience than me will step in and help you.
