    turq99

      Hello people,

I am hoping someone can give me some incite. I have had the following message pop up when creative cloud is first launched or if I log in and out of my adobe id.

      Cloud_Message.jpg

This didn't always pop up it just stared few days ago. I tried reinstalling Creative Cloud also and the message still came.

      Thanks all

Are you using an account with Administrative rights... and are you Windows or Mac?

I have a Mac. I am not sure how to tell if I am working with Administrative rights. And its like I said before, this did occur from the first time I purchased the software. Is id possible to have administrative rights for a certain period of time and then it disappears?

                  Application: Adobe Creative Cloud

Problem: Pop-up Creative Cloud - Administration rights are required to complete Adobe Add-ons installtion or removal

                  Solution: Removal of Popup

On Macs with Creative Cloud there appeared an annoying popup regarding administrion rights.  This is caused by improper Sharing and Permissions to certain folders and files.

Step 1 - Change Sharing and Permissions in /Library

In finder navigate to Go->Go To Folder

                          Enter /Library/Application Support/Adobe

Select the Adobe Folder, right click and select get info

Under Sharing and permissions, click  on Lock icon and enter Administrator user name and password.

Click on symbol, select Administrators and click on Add

Click on symbol, select current logged in user name and  click on Add

Give 'Read and Write' permissions to Everyone, System, Admin, users and all that are listed there

Once the permission is given click on Gear icon and select the option 'Apply to Enclosed items

Click on Lock to Save and Lock the Sharing and permissions then close pop up window

Step 2 - Change the Sharing and Permissions in the User Library (~/Library)

In finder navigate to Go->Go To Folder

                          Enter /Library/Application Support

Select the Adobe Folder, right click and select get info

Under Sharing and permissions, click  on Lock icon and enter Administrator user name and password.

Click on symbol, select Administrators and click on Add

Click on symbol, select current logged in user name and  click on Add

Give 'Read and Write' permissions to Everyone, System, Admin, users and all that are listed there

Once the permission is given click on Gear icon and select the option 'Apply to Enclosed items

Click on Lock to Save and Lock the Sharing and permissions then close pop up window

                  Step 3 - Verification

Select any CC application and make sure you have access to the application and its functions

I can confirm that this fixed the issue for me. After changing the permissions and restarting, there was no longer a notification from Creative Cloud saying administration rights were required. Thank you for sharing!
