cajunautodealer Jun 18, 2014 2:30 PM (in response to valkroth)"Extensions" is grayed out on the new CC2014 Photoshop 64. The old Photoshop CC 64 has all the extensions available. The Extension Manager does not list Photoshop CC2014 as an application.

24. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
Carl Sun Jun 18, 2014 8:50 PM (in response to cruizer1)Please reboot firstly. It's the simplest way than any other solutions. If it didn't work, please try to run EM as administrator firstly.
1. Run "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".
2. Input the following command then press "Return" key. Don't miss the double quotation marks.
sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CC"
3. Input password of administrative user then press "Return" key.
If it works, you can try to run EM in normal way.
If it doesn't work, please generate log files and send it to exman.beijing@gmail.com.
1. In Terminal window, run the following commands in turn:
cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Extension\ Manager\ CC/
mkdir Log
cd Log
touch ExManCoreLibLog.YES
2. Open Finder, hold down "option" key, click menu "Go"->"Library" to go into hidden Library folder, then go to its subfolder "Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log", check whether file ExManCoreLibLog.YES exists.
3. Launch EM.
4. After EM hangs, force quit it, send all log files in the Log folder above to us. If you can find ExManCoreLibrary.log and it's not very long, you can also paste its content here.

25. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
cruizer1 Jun 18, 2014 10:33 PM (in response to Carl Sun)I rebooted Mac...now Extension Manager works and shows PS CC 2014 in list...and shows the extensions as Enabled...BUT...the Extension item in the Window menu list in PS CC 2014 is still grey out.

26. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
alexmorganphoto Jun 19, 2014 1:40 AM (in response to valkroth)No good here either, extensions also greyed out.
Got the new Kuler extension to install but others like adobe paper textures don't work...

27. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
mpltd Jun 19, 2014 3:36 AM (in response to alexmorganphoto)I find I have to have an image opened, then the extensions list is there listing the installed extensions and not grayed out.
-
28. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
mpltd Jun 19, 2014 3:43 AM (in response to cruizer1)After updating the extensions manager, I now have PS CC 2014 with most of the CC extensions listed as installed in CC 2014, but not all that are in PS CC.
BUT only one shows up in PS CC 2014 application when launched.
-
29. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
cruizer1 Jun 19, 2014 5:24 AM (in response to mpltd)My Extensions item is still greyed out in Ps CC 2014 even though I updated Manager, rebooted, and have an image open. All extensions do appear in Manager under PS C 2014, but do not appear in the PsCC 2014 program.
-
30. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
valkroth Jun 19, 2014 8:39 AM (in response to valkroth)Still nothing. Updated Extension manager - shows the extension is installed in Extension manager for CC and CC2014.
I've tried opening and image, rebooting, running as admin, tried it on my Mac, My PC, uninstalling/reinstalling. Extension still works in CC, but not CC2014.
Extension works in Illustrator, but not Photoshop.

31. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.

32. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
Miguel Acuña Jun 19, 2014 8:46 AM (in response to valkroth)I have the same identical results.
Adobe needs to fix this problem. It is not up to the consumer.
Are you reading this Adobe?

33. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
cruizer1 Jun 19, 2014 9:44 AM (in response to Miguel Acuña)just spent another hour with support...same result...fix is supposed to be just updating extension manager which I did...no help...again they said it was being referred to higher level support and I would receive a call in 2 to 3 days....their support really SUCKS!!!!!!

34. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
Greg Forcey Jun 19, 2014 9:50 AM (in response to valkroth)Same issue as everyone else. The extensions menu choice is grayed out in Photoshop CC 2014 even after I updated to Extensions Manager 7.2. Looking forward to a fix for this. Until then it's back to the old version of Photoshop CC.
I also had an issue upgrading extensions manager because the creative cloud application would not recognize it as an available update. I had to download version 7.2 of extensions manager and install manually from here: Adobe - Exchange : Download the Adobe Extension Manager

35. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
Whets Jun 19, 2014 10:55 AM (in response to valkroth)I'm having the same issues as everyone else, too. None of my extensions from CC have moved over to CC 2014. None of the troubleshooting worked. Very frustrating!

36. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
tracyvalleau Jun 19, 2014 12:14 PM (in response to valkroth)YAMT (Yet Another Me Too). I'm on 10.8.5 (Mac) using PS CC 2014, and _have updated the Extension manager to see PS CC 2014_. I've used it to install extensions, apparently successfully. Some show up in the "about plugins"; some show up under filters (For all I know, that may be correct behavior) but in NO CASE does Extensions become enabled under the windows menu, and of course I don't have access to the pallette.
The same extensions work fine in PS CC and PS C6.
So then, I tossed out the entire Application Support/adobe/extension manager CC folder and tried again.
Absolutely no change: CC works fine - CC2014 is still disabled.
I do have the entire set of log files zipped up, in case someone from Adobe wants them. (I tried to copy/paste the log here, but it never showed up.)
Sorry, but I cannot use Photoshop CC 2014 in this state; my extensions are vital to my workflow. I'll give 2014 a try when they fix it.

37. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
suzyq62 Jun 19, 2014 6:53 PM (in response to valkroth)I see I am not the only one having this issue. I have 2 of almost all the CC programs now and it seems to be taking up a lot of memory. I am trying to contact live chat now to see what to do. In the meantime, I am running a full backup of my computer. I am working on a Mac OSX 10.9.3, has there been any resolution so far?

38. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
gaperklake Jun 19, 2014 7:23 PM (in response to suzyq62)No. We're still waiting to hear from Adobe who, according to their technical support so far, say this must be caused by somebody else.

39. Re: Help with old extension. Old meaning CC vs CC2014.
cruizer1 Jun 19, 2014 7:39 PM (in response to gaperklake)i read that Adobe now prevents Flash based extensions (like Mini Bridge) from working in PS CC 2014....this may be part of the problem.....also still waiting for senior level support to contact me...either they haven't got a clue, or this just not sayin
