1. Re: How do I migrate settings in Illustrator after updating from CC to CC 2014?
nattgurl Jun 19, 2014 11:12 AM (in response to figuresguy)I don't know if this is the easiest way to do it, but it works.
Hard Drive> Users (choose your name) > Library (if you don't see the Library - View> View Options> Show Library Folder) >Application Support > Adobe
You should see Adobe Illustrator 17 & 18 folders
Adobe Illustrator 17> en_US in this folder you will find your saved Brushes, Swatches, Symbols etc...
Open the Adobe Illustrator 18> en_US and manually place any of files from Ai 17 into the appropriate folders in Ai 18. Restart Ai 18 and check to see that everything is in place.

vanessal@questrecycling.c Jun 25, 2014 9:35 AM (in response to nattgurl)Absolutely Accurate!
I'm on WIN 7 and I gave up trying to migrate settings via (import & export) with error after error and experimented with this maneuver myself. I've since been looking for an actual interface solution (for other Adobe apps) to this since I installed CC 2014 and so far this is the only work-a-round I've performed with success!!
Thank you nattgurl for the post!!

4. Re: How do I migrate settings in Illustrator after updating from CC to CC 2014?
Deborah Burns Aug 10, 2014 11:54 AM (in response to nattgurl)I thought Illustrator was supposed to sync settings automatically. Am I missing something here? All my user-defined settings are unavailable in 2014 version of Illustrator and I can't seem to find any help on this.
