    Updating settings for new apps

    D Dog Community Member

How come the new 2014 apps are not updating settings automatically from the previous apps.

Then the old app is still in the applications folder. So I can now see a reason for this, as syncing the settings does not seem to work between versions.

I'm not paying to use beta software or test claims that are made. This all seems half baked.

I’m experiencing the same thing. Photoshop synced my panels, but I lost all of my image export presets. I have no doubt I’ll discover other missing settings as well. Premiere and Dreamweaver were total fails:

            Hey Dan,

            this may help:

2014 release of Photoshop CC: FAQ

I should not be searching for solutions & descriptions of how there "seamless" process is supposed to work. The documentation

should be upfront & transparent. This could have been handled much better than it was. There should have been some sort of heads up

before the process of replacing apps starts. That this is a whole new release should have been conveyed to the users of the CC process.

The steps needed to deal with that should have been part of the update process.
