bitm07 Jun 21, 2014 12:32 AM (in response to mpal614000)As eartho as indiated you could switch from Photoshop CC to the Photoshop Photography Program (that includes Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5.5) and at current prices approximately half your monthly subscription fee in the process.
If you are literally planning switch from Photoshop CC to Lightroom however, a traditional perpetually licensed version of Lightroom 5 (5.5 after free update) may be a better option for you. You pay a one off cost up front for this currently $149 from the Adobe website or $119 from Amazon.com, there is no ongoing subscription charge

mpal614000 Jun 21, 2014 7:11 AM (in response to bitm07)Actually, I did a bad job of wording my subject. I intend to use Photoshop CC indefinitely. I'm switching from another RAW converter/ DAM program and I'm considering Lightroom. It seems that it is a free add-on to Photoshop CC so I downloaded it last night. Now it is a matter of starting all over with the learning process.

Interesting. I knew that Lightroom was included with Photoshop CC in the $9.99 Creative Cloud Photography Program and it's predecessor the $9.99 Photoshop Photography Program. Are you saying that it's a free add-on for Photoshop CC as a single app ($19.99) ?. If so it's not listed on the Adobe website.https://creative.adobe.com/plans/single_app
Either way you won't be disappointed with Lightroom, as a pro landscape photographer I utilize it for 90% of my post capture needs.
