Liam Dilley Jun 23, 2014 1:48 AM (in response to RepulseMonkey)It is there for a security feature. You can not bypass it.
You need to look at why they do not feel they are getting the email.

RepulseMonkey Jun 23, 2014 1:53 AM (in response to Liam Dilley)Thanks. Have you any other instances of people not getting the e-mails? It's not even appearing in his junk mail.... as far as we can tell.
The e-mail ,address is correct on the system.
I'm a designer, not an e-mail expert.

3. Re: How to create a Business Catalyst user WITHOUT sending an invitation
Liam Dilley Jun 23, 2014 3:35 AM (in response to RepulseMonkey)It can be a few things.
- If they have a business internal exchange server and the site is sending emails from the site under a ....@company.com address but not internal then it gets blocked. The IT guys of that company need to whitelist the BC site IP's etc.
- Similar to the above, their email service has marked it as spam (since it is an automated service) so they need to look for it in spam and then mark it as not with their email client.
- They just do not know what they are looking at/for. This one may sound silly but so happens, using a remote connection tool you sometimes have it where they say they do not see something or something is not there, you look at what they see and it is there. They just do not understand what to do or what they are looking for.
If Brett (PrettyPollution) my boss notices this, he is an Email Wiz and the most experienced Business manager on BC so he may know a few other use cases as well.

Much appreciated.

Brett -Pretty Pollution Jun 23, 2014 10:56 PM (in response to RepulseMonkey)Hi RepulseMonkey
I can troubleshoot this for you but I'd need some more information. Id need the URL of the website so I can do some checks on the DNS setup.
Basically if you're not receiving emails it can be a few things. I'd be looking to check:
1. That your Domain Setup is set correctly. If it's set to Internal, when it's actually External then this can happen.
2. If it's externallly hosted then you should start by creating the SPF record that is required so your external mail server will trust mail sent from Adobes servers - Here's some instructions on adding an SPF record half way down this page - Business Catalyst Migration
To answer your question. YES. You can get around it. You can send the activation email to a different email address. Then once confirmed ask BC support to change it back. BUT we really recommend to get you DNS configured correctly in the first place. It's usually not hard.
Let me know if you're stuck. I can point you in the right direction and if you're really stuck PRETTY does consultation and support on this kind of thing.

6. Re: How to create a Business Catalyst user WITHOUT sending an invitation
RepulseMonkey Jun 23, 2014 11:19 PM (in response to Brett -Pretty Pollution)On the basis that, the client probably won't understand any technical queries... here's the url:
http://nea-test.businesscatalyst.com/
It's a test site hosted on Business Catalyst. I don't have any access to the clients mail software or hosting at this point.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

RepulseMonkey Jul 30, 2014 8:24 AM (in response to RepulseMonkey)Hi, finally got to the bottom of this...
I had to ask the company hosting my customers domain name to whitelist info@businesscatalyst.com – mail started appearing in the clients mailbox.
I've had this a couple of times now. Seems incredible that Adobe's mail address is getting rejected...
