Averdahl Jun 25, 2014 4:20 AM (in response to Louis Gilkes)I think the reason behind this is that too many people that do get help on any forum these days don't have the decency to reply back and say "Great, this worked!" or just reply with a simple "Thank you!". As a result of that many people that can help don't bother to answer since they get no credit these days, generally speaking. I used to answer a lot in different forums around the world but do that very seldom today since people seldom reply with a "Great, this worked!" or that the question the asked needs more information, such as what version they use, what OS they use, etc, etc. Some people does even get insulted when they have to answer the question "What version of Premiere Pro are you using" It's sad but people are so fed up with all information, (anti)social media, etc that floats around so they forget to write a simple "thank you!". The narcissistic tide is here...
My reply is not aimed towards you Louis, it's just something i have noticed for some years now.

Louis Gilkes Jun 25, 2014 4:33 AM (in response to Averdahl)Yeah i can totally understand that why bother answering when you don't get a simple thank you after helping them. I have replied to the people trying to help me and then get nothing back. I am getting used to this software and im only on the trail period but i want to be able to buy the Premiere Pro but if i need help and its not required either on here on the phone it puts me off. I have tried getting help elsewhere i.e twitter and im even offering money for help if thats what it takes these days for some help.

This is a USER to USER forum with little help from Adobe staffers, you can see if it a staffer by the logo and name staff.
One of the things that annoy those that help is that all too often posters do not search to see if their query has already been asked and answered and most of all the poster not reading the FAQ's and supplying all the information necessary to get the correct response.
All too often we do not get a thanks and in many cases the post is not closed by the correct answer being selected by the poster once the correct answer has been found.
The best way of not getting a response is to post critizing the users, all of whom are in the forum to help where they can.
There is a very wide range of abilities and expertise in the users and all to often we get......I am on a deadline and how do I.......all too often the answer can be look at the manual (abbreviated to RTFM) or watch the video tutorials on Adove TV or on the Creative Cow website.
So please have some patience and leeway with us and if you can edit your posts to have all the information as per the FAQ's then that will help.
Best wishes
Col

Biggles Lamb Jun 25, 2014 5:03 AM (in response to Biggles Lamb)By the way if you are a newbie then watching the video tutorials I have just mentioned will help your far more than the written word by users.
You have the benefit of great learning tools, when most of us learned NLE no such tools were available it was tha manual or nothing.

Louis Gilkes Jun 25, 2014 5:09 AM (in response to Biggles Lamb)Thank you for your reply.
There must be someone out there who can help me, i have been watching Tutorials on YouTube and searching elsewhere for help but nothing comes up. I ask a question on here hoping someone has gone through the same issue as me or an expert is available to help which would take less time to read the manual. I have phoned up previously and they're no help what so every the man on the other end couldn't wait to get off the phone with me. I would also like to say i would close the question with the correct answer if someone even bothered to help me. Thanks Louis

Jon-M-Spear Jun 25, 2014 5:55 AM (in response to Louis Gilkes)Without wanting to sound too misanthropic, the advent of CC means that people are now using Adobe applications that they wouldn't have bothered with - or had access to - in the days of perpetual licence suites or single apps.
As a result, I'm afraid that current user questions are quite often, so very, very basic, and hardened long-time pros are leaving this forum in droves or simply couldn't be bothered to add their two pennies worth.
I know that we all have to start somewhere, and I've received a tremendous amount of help from this forum over the past 14 years. But just reading the user guide , or grasping a basic understanding of what Premiere Pro is and does would be a starting point in so many cases. So many people appear to want an instant solution NOW, without any experimentation or trial and error.

Steven L. Gotz Jun 25, 2014 6:47 AM (in response to Louis Gilkes)Louis,
Your first question was "Can someone help me?" and I asked if you had a specific question. You did not reply. Someone else pointed you to tutorials. You did not reply.
What else can we do?
Your next question was about running one frame smaller than the other.I answered, but it turns out that your issue was something else and Kevin answered that. And yes, it took a couple of days. But that happens now and then. The title of your question was "Premiere Pro" which is so non-specific as to not entice anyone to read it...
Your next question about Sync was a little better, but to be honest I don't understand what you mean by "I have V1 which is the face cam & A1 synced but cant get A1 synced in the timing of V1". First you say you have V1 and A1 synced, and then you say you can't get them synced.
I get that you want answers right away, but use more interesting titles for your questions, and then provide as much detail as you can to describe the problem. Other users will try to help, when they can. But if the question is unclear, and the original poster does not respond to questions asked for clarification, there is not much we can do to help.

Louis Gilkes Jun 25, 2014 7:16 AM (in response to Steven L. Gotz)Okay well i can get the face cam video synced with my voice audio but i can't get my game play synced with facecam. Does that make sense? I am recording with 3 different peices of equipment, external mic, handycam & an elgato screen capture.

Ann Bens Jun 25, 2014 9:22 AM (in response to Steven L. Gotz)I think we certainly had the decency to answer the questions. I almost feel insulted.
But if there is no reaction I am out. And I dont feel like answering the next question by same poster.
I am here for the fun. I don't get payed.
Besides some questions require an elaborate explanation. And as the regulars here know I don't like long answers....
I also dont like impatient posters that bump their post after one hour of no reply.

Louis Gilkes Jun 26, 2014 3:19 PM (in response to Ann Bens)I'm sorry i'm not all that experienced with computers but if i came across something and i knew i could help someone who needed help i would give it to them or at least try and find out more info to be able to give the person help not just ignore the post completely.

John T Smith Jun 26, 2014 7:27 PM (in response to Louis Gilkes)>can't get my game play synced with facecam
Does your gameplay recording software use a VARIABLE FRAME RATE or a CONSTANT Frame Rate?
Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
