1. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Jerry Klaimon Jun 25, 2014 8:58 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)There is a bug there, but what I see is that with that box unchecked the focus does not go to the sequence timeline, it switches from the source to the program windows but leaves the sequence not focused.

2. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
PierreLouisBeranek Jun 25, 2014 9:05 AM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)Thanks for the quick response Jerry! You're right, there is a bug but not quite as I imagined. If I have the Source and Program monitor windows above each other, this new bug creates a workflow problem by switching from the Source to Program window, but if I place the Program window anywhere else, it performs as usual, keeping the Source window active and in focus.
I'll send Adobe a BR. Thanks again for your help!

3. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Ann Bens Jun 25, 2014 9:07 AM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)I cannot reproduce.
When unchecked focus stay on Source Monitor.

4. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Jerry Klaimon Jun 25, 2014 9:16 AM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)No, I take that back. The gold perimeter is missing, but the focus is on the timeline. I would expect the focus to stay on the source window.

5. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Jerry Klaimon Jun 25, 2014 9:31 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)Pierre,
That's interesting. I went to a different workspace, with the source and program windows in different monitors, and the bug disappears.

6. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
PierreLouisBeranek Jun 25, 2014 9:40 AM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)Here's my official BR. Please note that the bug only appears if the Source and Program monitor are above each other in the same window. So for now I'll keep using CC2014 but simply move the Source and the Program Monitor into their own separate windows. That way my workflow isn't messed up. Thanks for the help everyone!
******BUG******
Concise problem statement: When doing an insert edit from the Source Monitor, the focus changes to the Program Monitor/Timeline if the Program window is underneath the Source Monitor.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Place the Source and Program monitors together in the same window.
2. Make sure the General Preferences' "Set focus on the Timeline when performing Insert/Overwrite edits" checkbox is unchecked.
3. Do an insert edit from the Source Monitor
Results: The Program Monitor is brought to the front and the focus is changed to the Timeline
Expected results: The focus should stay on the Source Monitor, as it does in CC2013.

7. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Jerry Klaimon Jun 25, 2014 9:44 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)One more bit of data -- I see this bug only when the source and program windows are in the same frame. When one or the other or both windows are separate panels the bug is not there for me.

8. Re: HELP! Can someone please confirm this new Insert Edit bug in CC2014?
Stan Jones Jun 25, 2014 10:49 AM (in response to Jerry Klaimon)I filed a bug report, modified to Jerry's finding (which matches mine). These are fundamentally the same as Pierre's.
The Source and Program monitors are in the same frame. (e.g. select the Assembly workspace)
From the source monitor, do an insert or overwrite edit (using keyboard shortcuts or menu).
Focus shifts to the program monitor.
