Why can't I select the lens flare? I've been following the video guide that Adobe point you to, I follow everything exactly but when I go to render the lens flare option isn't selectable.

It must be in RGB mode and not on a blank layer.

I'm just playing around with some type, 300dpi, cmyk, 8 bit colour. Having followed the tutorial I added a layer of black and converted to smart object, as in the video but then when I go to select lens flare it's greyed out.Screenshot 2014-07-01 14.11.00.png
