HI, A couple of days ago facebook & ninemsn (my homepage) starting advising that I didnt have and needed to download adobe flash to view various items.

It hadnt been uinstalled, and this was new.

Since then I have downloaded it and various runtime versions, and the plug-in...and neither have 'stuck'. IN using firefox google or IE...all the same result.

Appreciate some advise to resolve and rationale as to why this popped up

cheers

By "ninemsn" you mean http://www.ninemsn.com.au/ ?

If so, it's them doing that.  When I go to that website and try to view a video I get

ninemsn.PNG

It's usually these kind of manipulation that leads to erroneous messages like you get.

Can you confirm that Flash Player works correctly on your browser: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

adobe capture.PNGHi Pat, thanks for the prompt response.

I have searched to enable these and cannot confirm they are in either browser.

In firefox I have ended up with something called 'flash control' 1.0.7

No sign of a plug in for either.

Can you kindly provide some direction around this (I have been out of the it file game for too long)

I have inserted above the sort of thing I am now seeing from ninemsn.

Look forward to your or further advises

regards

Hi again Pat,

That link to check flash player, seems to have solved my issue. That page also provided detail as to how to enable the plugins, I sought earlier...done and resolved!

Thanks muchly.

I did put shockwave flash and adobe flash player as one and the same...apparently it/they are.
