1. Re: Can I use Perspective Wrap with only 256mb of VRAM?
Brett N Jul 3, 2014 4:12 PM (in response to Shortini@yahoo.com)Perspective Warp requires OpenGL support. However, OpenGL support does not require 512MB of VRAM. That requirement is specifically for 3D functions (the 3D menu, not the warps like Puppet or Perspective). If this command is greyed out, check Preferences > Performance and make sure that Use Graphics Processor is checked. You may need to update your video card drivers directly in order to make it work.

2. Re: Can I use Perspective Wrap with only 256mb of VRAM?
Shortini@yahoo.com Jul 3, 2014 7:32 PM (in response to Brett N)I've found out that perspective wrap does work on my iMac but only on 8bit jpeg or psd files. It does not work on 16bit psd files. The tech support guy from Adobe asked me to update my drivers and see if that fixes the issue. The only problem is that I can not find any updated drivers for my nVidia Geforce 9400 graphics card. There is something call CUDA that seems to be an updates driver but I'm afraid to install it over the existing driver. Any thoughts?

Brett N Jul 4, 2014 7:52 AM (in response to Shortini@yahoo.com)Not sure why you can't work in 16-bit images, it should work in both.
Here's the link to the latest drivers for your card, nothing about CUDA: NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 337.88 Driver WHQL

4. Re: Can I use Perspective Wrap with only 256mb of VRAM?
R_Kelly Jul 4, 2014 8:11 AM (in response to Shortini@yahoo.com)I believe that with only 256 vram, perspective warp only works with 8 bits/channel images.
In order to use perspective warp with say 16 bits/channel images, one needs at least 512 vram, and since you only have 256 vram, a graphics card update won't help.
And on a mac, generally unless one has an add-on graphics card (a graphics card that is user changeable), the driver updates come from apple through software update, and one should not try to install graphics card driver updates from other sources.

5. Re: Can I use Perspective Wrap with only 256mb of VRAM?
Brett N Jul 4, 2014 8:20 AM (in response to R_Kelly)You are right about the driver updates, I missed the reference to this being a Mac.
Also, I dug a bit deeper and you are right about the limitations as well. 512MB is required for working with 16-bit images: Photoshop CC 14.2 update – Perspective Warp (system requirements are given at the very bottom of the article).
