1. Re: 4K source footage in 1080p timeline - Warp Stabilizer
Steven L. Gotz Feb 3, 2014 8:49 PM (in response to xstimux)If I may suggest a solution that may suit you.
Create your sequence using your 4K footage. Use the stabilizer, but tell it to only Stabilize & Crop.
Drop that sequence into a 1080p sequence and scale it down to just where it fits perfectly. You may find that you do not want to scale some of the footage quite as small in order to appear to zoom in on the best part of the larger frame.

Steven L. Gotz Feb 4, 2014 5:50 AM (in response to xstimux)Looks like a waste of $99 but if you compare it to Warp Stabilizer and you like it better, then I suppose $99 is a decent price.
But until you try doing it in Premiere Pro without a plugin, I highly suggest you put off spending additional money.
It looks to be like it zooms in a bit after stabilizing, and in your case, you really have no need for that reduction in quality. That is why I suggested the workflow that I did. The moment you zoom in to fill in the frame, thar is when quality suffers, even if you are going to scale it down later.
