1. Re: Is the emailed survey legitimate?
Noel Carboni Jul 16, 2014 9:17 AM (in response to LowFlyer12)I haven't received any survey from Adobe in recent history.
You paid them for the software, right? Don't feel obligated to fill out a survey if it makes you uncomfortable to do so.

LowFlyer12 Jul 16, 2014 9:37 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)Thanks, Noel. I'm not clicking just yet. Maybe some knowledgeable Adobe person will see this and respond. Not that you aren't knowledgeable. ;-}

Chris Cox Jul 16, 2014 5:40 PM (in response to LowFlyer12)We send out surveys to registered users all the time.
So I'm not sure which group might be sending this survey - there's just too many surveys going on at any given time.
And yes, they get sent to randomly selected subsets of customers, so most users won't be annoyed by them too often.

4. Re: Is the emailed survey legitimate?
aikane Jul 16, 2014 7:42 PM (in response to LowFlyer12)I got the same email. It contains a link to a page that it says will verify that the survey really comes from Adobe, and if you follow it the page really does look like an authentic Adobe page—but the URL is not served from an Adobe domain. If you go to ConStat and check their full list of customers, they list a lot of big name companies—but not Adobe. The whole thing was too shady for me so I deleted the email. Now I wish I hadn't because I think I'd like to investigate further.

Chris Cox Jul 16, 2014 8:10 PM (in response to aikane)Forward a copy of that email to ccox@adobe.com, and I'll see if anyone on our team knows about it.

Skekses033 Aug 8, 2014 12:36 PM (in response to Chris Cox)I just got an email from Constat today saying I was chosen to receive 100 dollars but only if I give them my home address so they can send the check. I don't trust it. Any advice?

Nancy O. Aug 8, 2014 12:52 PM (in response to Skekses033)That's why I have a Post Office Box. It comes in handy when I don't want to give out my home address. On the other hand, if a marketing survey company is cutting checks to encourage survey participation, it stands to reason they need an address to send it to.

9. Re: Is the emailed survey legitimate?
Nancy O. Aug 8, 2014 1:25 PM (in response to Skekses033)I guess I'm way less skeptical because I've participated in lots of product research surveys and gotten paid pretty well for doing them. The strangest one was for tire treads. It was a focus panel and we each got $400. An online survey company once sent me 3 full-sized boxes of new breakfast cereals and a check for $50 to tell them what I thought of their cereals. This stuff goes on all the time.
