Google in Tool Bar

I have a WebHelp project with several merged projects and want to replace the RoboHelp Search box in the Tool bar with a Google search box, if possible. If this is not possible, I would settle for adding it to the Tool bar without removing the RoboHelp Search box. Can anybody help?

I'm not wanting to say that this type of request is beyond most people on these forums as if I do, someone will then say it is possible. However I do think that this type of question is unlikely to be resolved here. What you are wanting is a way of going "under the hood" of the RH output files to replace the traditional method of searching for help file content. You may be better placed to go to a developer or browser based forum.

Thank you for your response. Actually, I already have on my project start page a Google search box that is focused solely on the project contents. I just want to be able to move it into the tool bar. Thanks.

RoboDummy,

I think what Colum was getting at is that you would have to browse JavaScript code and RoboHelp html files that display the toolbar to find the RH components. Maybe replacing them wouldn't be too difficult. Then you would have to make it function -- which may be easy or hard, depending on expertise.

If you do find a way that you think may be within reach for some of us, please post back.

Thanks.

Harvey
