    Change Image size on scan

I am using a HP Officejet Pro 8600. I do a document feeder scan. When I do this it scans everything in 8.5 by 14 legal. This is what I do

      create

      PDF from scanner

      configure presets

Paper Size only has one option Automatic

When I scan it will not detect it as a 8.5 X 11 document.

So then the forums have said to go up to

      Scanner

      Then Options

Then Data Transfer Method: Native Mode

      then ok

This is suppose to help me to manually change it and it does not work.

Can someone please help me to get it set up to scan 8.5 X 11 Letter or have it automatically REALLY DETECT IT?

I cannot help you change it. But you can crop the documents to letter size using the crop tool. BTW, I alway annoyingly recommend not using Acrobat to scan, but to use the native software that comes with the scanner. Most scanners can scan to pdf and/or TIFF. If it scans to pdf, you get all of the benefits of the scanner software rather than using tools that get filtered to a badly written twain or Windows driver written ask a quick hack by the scanner company.
